Sally came to our practice having lost confidence in both dentists and her teeth. Previous dentists had not gained her trust and she felt that they did not listen to her needs and wants. She was greatly concerned about the appearance of her teeth and felt she could not live her life to the fullest because of them. Sally wanted her teeth to look ‘nicer’ and whiter. She hated the fact that one was brown in colour, one tooth was missing and the rest were chipping away. Sally was getting married and she wanted to fix her teeth so that she could surprise her fiancé.
Noticing her lack of confidence and the sadness she shared with us, we were able to bring forward some ideas on how to make sally’s teeth stronger and more pleasant to look at. We suggested crowns/veneers and whitening. Sally was happy with the fact that we listened to her concerns and provided her with some solutions. So after gaining our trust she agreed to go ahead with this treatment.
We fitted three veneers, two fully porcelain crowns and bridges, as well as whitening her teeth. She was amazed by the results! She was now able to smile without being afraid. She can eat anything she wants without fear of chipping her teeth. The whitening helped her to achieve her goal of whiter and ‘nicer’ teeth.
